The time from when you put a bid in on a house to the time you sign on it

Or

Getting That same house ready to move in?

Well, We are Starting to Wonder!  Actually, we had a very productive past couple of days!.  One room carpeted, The other rooms fully prepped for carpet or laminate.  Fingers crossed the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms will have floor treatment down by Thursday afternoon!  That will leave the living/dining rooms for the wood laminate.

Krista made some more headway out in the jungle….uh, I mean yard.

Fingers Crossed we have a renter for the condo! Happy Dance Time!

Sunday wound down sitting on the steps to the basement fantasing about entertaining in our new space!

Thanks For Checking Up On Us!

In Each Moment

For Scott and Krista

Love Eternal

is in each moment,

as our path together

gathers tomorrows

Should we Falter

let faith in God

hope in one another

and Love beckon us onward

And we are invincible

Slowly Winding Down

Rocheport, Missouri

Rocheport, Missouri

Well, this it things are winding down, and getting closer to rejoining the “real world”

We left Hermann, Missouri this morning around 10am with one destination left…Les Bourgeois Winery in Rocheport

We had lunch at the winery, then just over an hour later we were in Carrollton at the little shack I live in during the week.

This evening we have sorted through our newly acquired wine collection, started on Thank You Cards and watched a very good movie.  Gran Torino w/ Clint Eastwood.

Tomorrow it’s off to Blue Springs, and Krista plans to hit the town running.  School Starts this week and the KIDS NEED STUFF!!!!

Sounds Daunting, but deep down she loves it :)

The Grape!Well, today it has been Very Busy!

We headed out to Man Heaven  early this morning!  Our First Stop was Swiss Meat & Sausage Company.  they make over 50 different flavors of Brats!  That’s right……..50!  Every Mans dream!

After Meat Heaven, We went to our History Lesson for the day!  A visit to the German School Museum in Hermann.

Then to the Wineries!

First stop.  The Hermannhof Winery.  Very nice, the wines are great But……the visit was not all we expected.  it just seems this wonderful place was lacking in “personality” or a presence of Information of what they do.  Still a nice visit!

Stop two:  Oak Glenn Winery This place was Wonderful.  Out on it’s own on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River.  The Scenery and wines were both worth the drive up the long gravel road.  Take a look at the pictures from today.  We found it quite funny that about half way up this gravel road, there was this little winery sign on a 2×4 piece of wood that said winery with arrows.  The sign done with a permanent marker.  Especially funny since the road only went to one place… :)

Stop Three:  Bias Winery Small little Family run Winery w/a  Beer Micro Brewery all rolled up into one visit!  Very friendly place!

Stop Four:  Robller Wines Just got there before they locked the door!

WoW….What a Day!

Tomorrow we work our way back home!

Tasting What Stone Hill has to offer! We are winding down from an enjoyable day out around Herman, Missouri

A Good Part of the day was spent at Stone Hill Winery.  Took  the tour,  sampled all they had to offer, then enjoyed a nice lunch at the restaurant.  And Yes we filled up the trunk with several bottles of their best.  Now of Course Stone Hill wine is widely available across the region, but it was fun to actually buy it where it is bottled :)

A short drive from Stone Hill is another wonderful winery,  The Adam Puchta Winery .  It is the oldest Family Farm Winery in the State of Missouri.  This discreet little out of the way winery actually offered us some fantastic sampling!  their wines are very good and very reasonable in price!  Again, their wines are available across the region, but we just had to buy some from the source!

A quick nap was in order after these two visits, then back out again!

This afternoon we walked over to the Tin Mill Brewery .  The Tour is self guided, so it lacked a little/alot of  information,  but “the brew” they produce made up for it.  Always like to try something new!

To wrap up the day we had some pretty decent wings at a local restaurant “Wings A-Blazin” then out for another walk around the side streets of Hermann.

Oh before we wrap up, and especially for our friends not on Face book, here is a Link to some pictures taken today

It’s been a good day!

Missouri Wine Utopia

Well, Here we are in Hermann, Missouri.  Our Final Destination!

we arrived around 3pm this afternoon.  Perfect!……too late to really go do anything and too early to go eat.  We sat up shop and checked in with the rest of the world (email, face book, etc..etc..)  Also put together a game plan for tomorrow

Dinner this evening was at one of the many historic buildings here in Herman.  The Concert Hall…turns out it was a bar and grill!  Food was good, and a great price AND Cold Beer!  That makes me a winner!!!

Anyway

Looks like it will be a full day of touring winery’s and a possible micro brewery ;)   will let you know how the day went when it’s wrapped up!

anyway….for those that are not on face book with us, here is a link to some of our vacation pics so far:

We Just wanted to Let everyone know that we have made it to day two of this New Journey Together!

In Short the Wedding was Wonderful!  We both agree it was Better than the version in our Dream! :)

So, Now…Here we are At Hidden Lake Winery near Aviston, Illinois.

Let me tell you….A Monday At a Winery is Wonderful!  The crowds are gone!  All Day it has just been us on the porch, and a group of 4 ladies by the lake.  The Sun behind the clouds…..A little humid at times,  But the wine is good enough that we don’t care!

On More night at this wine oasis, then tomorrow we head off to Missouri Wine Country tomorrow.

luvya’ll

Oh, That Girl!

Well, time is quickly approaching……Our Wedding Day!

Krista spent all day yesterday getting ready to leave for Indiana.  She intended to leave sometime in the Afternoon and be in Evansville Monday evening and spend the night at my moms.  Well……..after she finished tying up all the loose ends, getting  packed and on the road, it was around 10pm.  So instead of being at moms for Bed time she got there in time for morning coffee.  I often wonder how she does What She does.

Anyway after taking care of few details in Evansville, she jumped in another car with her girl friends and headed to French Lick for a couple of days of spa treatment and relaxation.  (She deserves it)  Have fun ladies!

Now my time is quickly approaching to get packed up and on the road.  Thursday I will jump in the conversion van with our five kids and make the trek to Evansville. Wish me luck (on so many levels;)

We will try and spend some time during the next week and a half and keep you updated on the wedding and everything dealing with it

Thanks for checking up on us!
